Bibliography (Works Cited)

You are required to submit an annotated bibliography with your project. Annotated means you describe the source in a brief 1-3 sentence summary. Also tell why the source is primary or secondary.

See the NHD site for details:

Example:

Bates, Daisy. The Long Shadow of Little Rock. 1st ed. New York: David McKay Co. Inc., 1962.

Daisy Bates was the president of the Arkansas NAACP and the one who met and listened to the students each day. This first-hand account was very important to my paper because it made me more aware of the feelings of the people involved.

You may use easybib or any of the citation makers listed on the media center webpage under Citation Help. Be sure to choose MLA format, and be sure to select the correct type of source for each of your sources. Whichever site you use, fill in as many boxes as you can for each source before you create your citations.

Remember: The databases on the media center webpage include citations. All you have to do is add your annotation!

In your bibliography, first list all of your primary sources with their annotations, then list your secondary sources with their annotations, and be sure to alphabetize within each group!!!!!

Be sure to cite ALL sources you use: images, video, music, interviews, text, etc.

. DO NOT USE WIKIPEDIA! AVOID ENCYCLOPEDIAS

If you are writing a paper for your project, you must use citations within the paper to cite direct quotes, images, or specific ideas. To see examples of footnotes and endnotes for different types of sources, use this website:
