MON VANCOUVER
May 16 This morning you will be transferred by private coach to Canada Place Pier to board the ‘Norwegian Sun’ Cruise Ship. Once onboard enjoy a buffet lunch and then start exploring the ship or take a swim in one of the pools. This afternoon participate in the Sail-Away Party as the NCL Sun departs Canada Place, sail along Vancouver’s Inner Harbour and under the Lions Gate Bridge.This evening have your first group dinner at the Four Season Dining Room and then take in the evening musical entertainment options
TUE CRUISE THE INSIDE PASSAGE
May 17 Today is a full day at sea cruising, enjoy the scenery of the inside passage. In the morning enjoy a variety of onboard activities listed in your Freestyle Daily. In the afternoon your school group will partake in behind the scenes tour of the ship where you will have a chance to see the inner workings of the kitchens (TBC) or listen to a talk with one of the head chefs of the Sun, as he/she shares information about preparing food for 2000 people from scratch every day on the ship (TBC). Tonight enjoy dinner at Las Ramblas Tapas Restaurant followed by tonight’s show with the Norwegian Cruise Lines singers and dancers.
WED JUNEAU
18 May Today will be an afternoon arrival into Juneau, the capital city of Alaska
Juneau has been called Alaska's peak experience, certainly due in part to its unparalleled glacier viewing from such places as Tracy Arm Fjord, the Juneau Ice fields and Glacier Bay National Park. Kayak up one of the area's many protected waterways, go flightseeing, tour historic downtown or try your hand at panning for gold. The majestic Mendenhall Glacier lies nearly 12 miles outside Juneau, a trek worthwhile (shuttles run from downtown Juneau).
Your included excursion today is the Gold Creek Salmon Bake but you will also have time to join other excursions (own expense) if you wish or check out the town
Gold Creek Salmon Bake (1.5-hr)
A short, narrated bus ride brings you to Salmon Creek, the outdoor site for your salmon bake. Listen to live Alaska folk music while you dine under translucent, heated domes shielding you from the elements. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast. Savor Alaskan caught wild salmon barbecued over an open alder wood fire accompanied by chicken, potatoes, baked beans, wild-rice pilaf, a variety of salads, cornbread, lemonade, coffee, tea, hot apple cider, hot chocolate as well as blueberry cake for dessert. Beer, wine and soda are available for purchase.
Stroll through the woods and roast marshmallows over the campfire. Take a short walk along Salmon Creek, a salmon spawning steam, to a breathtaking waterfall. Here you can also explore the remains of the historic Wagner Mine and try your hand at gold panning. Stop by the Trading Post to browse and shop for Alaskan items.
Note: Umbrellas for walk to waterfall and gold pans are available for use on site. Buses depart regularly to the pier so you may return at your leisure.
Tonight your group will enjoy a casual dinner at the Garden Café, while you have stunning views of Juneau in the background.

THUR SKAGWAY
19 May It will be a morning arrival into Skagway; Alaska’s historic gold mining town
In a single year from 1896 to 1897, this remote town along the Inside Passage grew from a few tents to a city of 20,000 gold seekers. Today, travelers come in search of other riches to experience yesteryear along Skagway's charming boardwalk lined with buildings that replicate those Gold Rush days.
Included today for your group are tickets to see the famous “Days of 98 Show” which has been performed in Skagway for 87 years. The Days of '98 Show bedazzles audiences with the tale of Soapy Smith, Alaska's most notorious outlaw. Soapy reigned over Skagway during the wildest days of the Klondike Gold Rush, and this colourful vaudevillian musical recounts his incredible story. The show features can-can dancers, ragtime music, riotous humour, and the great con-man himself, Soapy Smith!
You will also have time to check out the town as well as join in any of the other offered excursions (own expense)

FRI Cruise past Sawyer Glacier
20 May Today will be a highlight of your cruise and as you see the Sawyer Glacier. The twin Sawyer Glaciers, North Sawyer and South Sawyer, are located at the end of Tracy Arm. The wildlife in the area includes black and brown bears, deer, wolves, harbor seals, and a variety of birds, such as Arctic terns and pigeon guillemots. The mountain goats, which are usually found in the higher elevation areas, have been seen near the base of Sawyer Glacier. The cruise staff will make sure you know when and where to be on the ship for best viewing. This evening dine as a group in the Four Seasons Dinning Room and then take in some of actives in the Free Style Daily.
SAT KETCHIKAN
21 May Today your group will be in Ketchikan, known for its Native American culture. Its Tlingit Indian name, Kach Khanna, means spread wings of the eagle. Chances are you'll see one of these magnificent birds perched atop a Sitka tree. Thanks to its abundant rainfall, Ketchikan is surrounded by some of the world's most lush wilderness. Join in one of the many excursions (own expense – The Famous Alaskan Lumber Jack Show is a favorite that can be booked)
Return to the NCL Sun, tonight enjoy a casual dinner with your group in the Garden Café before all the evening entertainment.

SUN CRUISE THE INSIDE PASSAGE
22 May Today we are at sea with to full day to enjoy the scenery of the inside passage. In the morning enjoy a variety of onboard activities listed in the Free Style Daily. In the afternoon your school group will partake in a cooking activity on board (TBC). Tonight will be your farewell group dinner in the Seven Seas Dining Room, followed by the final show by the NCL Sun singers and Dancers.
MON VANCOUVER
23 May This morning the NCL Sun will arrive into Vancouver, your group will have breakfast and then disembark the ship to return home. Parents pick students up. Welcome Home!
