OBX Dementia Friendly Coalition CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUPYOU’RE NOT ALONEIf you are helping to provide support for a loved one who has been diagnosed with Dementia, you may not have to face all the challenges alone. Our Caregiver Support Group can help. This local group is an open, ongoing group. You can be a part of it once, or for however long you need.In a Support Group, the Caregiver can interact with others who may share the same feelings and, in many cases, share the same experiences.A Support Group allows Caregivers the opportunity to network, and reduce isolation. It is a safe place to share frustrations, to learn coping skills and pick up practical tips. It is also a place to learn about available, helpful resources. You are not alone. Our local Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month, at 2:30pm.While the Baum Center is closed because of Covid restrictions, the Caregiver Group is Meeting at the Kitty Hawk Park, where we are outside, yet under a Pavilion. We can social distance and wear our masks. The Support Group is coordinated by a trained, volunteer facilitator. However, group members, with their sharing and caring, often provide the most help to each other. For more information, please contact:Anne Kelleherakelleh6@908-642-7829OrDianne Dennyobxdfc@ ................
