Dear Dental Provider:

eQHealth Solutions Inc. is pleased to announce that that the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (the Agency) is contracting with eQHealth Solutions, Inc. for utilization review for certain dental services.

eQHealth Solutions, founded in 1986 and headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, is a non-profit, multi-state, health care quality improvement organization (QIO) and health information technology company. Our local management and operations office is in the Tampa Bay area and is staffed with Florida licensed clinicians, physicians, dentists, therapists and health care professionals.

On December 1, 2012, eQHealth Solutions, Inc. will initiate authorization of prosthodontics and orthodontics. The scope of work includes authorization of services that require prior authorization according to the Florida Medicaid Dental Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook and Dental Fee Schedules. The handbook and fee schedules are available on Florida's Medicaid Web Portal: . Select Public Information for Providers, then Provider Support.

Provider-training webinars will take place during November 2012. The webinars will provide specific details on how to use our web-based prior authorization system, eQSuite. Our Florida dedicated provider website, , includes the training schedule, registration, and other useful information.

Please visit our website, under the Dental tab, and click on "provider communication" to download, complete and submit the Dental Provider Contact Form. This information is utilized to assign your practice a logon for eQSuite, which is required for submission of authorization requests. We suggest that the "system administrator" identified on the contact form be the individual who typically processes authorization requests for your practice.
