The accused had to choose from two identical doors - one contained a beautiful suited lady for the man to marry; the other, a ferocious tiger to devour them. The king was highly satisfied with this system. Inciting IncidentNow the king had a daughter whom he loved very much. The princess, however, had fallen in love with one of her father's courtiers, and the king became so angry when he found out that he threw the young man in jail. Rising ActionThe king announced that the young man would face the game of justice: choose one of two doors. Behind one was a beautiful bride; behind the other was a hungry, vicious tiger.The princess was distraught. Her love was either going to die, or be married to someone else! She secretly bribed people to tell her which door opened to the vicious tiger and which door opened to the beautiful bride.The day of justice came, and many gathered to witness the event. As the accused bowed to the king, he looked at the princess. He knew that she had found out where the tiger and the lady were, and he asked with his eyes, "Which one?" The princess had agonized for days about what answer she would give to the man when he looked to her. She made her decision.ClimaxShe quickly lifted her hand to the right. Falling ActionThe young man approached the door on the right. He had no idea what treasure was held inside; but either would make him unhappy. He only wanted the princess.
