In-Class Activities: “Miaúcoles” Spanish internet meme. Continue review of family vocabulary. Create class family tree. Students will become familiar with creating and reading a five-generation family tree, including “in-laws” of an individual.

Homework: 10 sentences in Spanish about the class family tree. Use 10 different family relationship words. (ex: mother, sister-in-law, brother, etc)
Thursday, October 8

In-Class Activities: Review reading family trees and describing family relationships in Spanish. (presentation) Word game: ¿Quién es el pariente”? - Students are given clues in Spanish to determine a familial relationship. For example: your sister’s husband is who? answer: your brother-in-law. Activity with class family tree - questions like ¿Quién es el bisabuelo de Arturo?
