Remote Desktop to Work Computer from a Personal Computer

1. Once you¡¯ve established the VPN connection (using the Establishing the VPN

Connection instructions) is complete, click in the Search toolbar at the lower left side of

the screen. Start typing Remote Desktop, and a popup window with Remote Desktop

Connection will appear. Click on Remote Desktop Connection

2. The Remote Desktop Connection window will appear. In the Computer field type in

the computer name and append .nde.state.ne.us to the end of it.

Click Connect

3. When the Windows Security Enter Network Credentials appears, click More Choices.

4. Select Use a different account. Enter username as NDE\(NDE computer username).

Examples (nde\trhoden or nde\travis.rhoden) depending on which one you use to log

into the computer/network at NDE. In the password field, type your NDE Computer

password (NOT email password). Then click OK.

5. A Certificate warning window will appear.

Click Yes.

6. The remote computers desktop should display, and you can use the software on that

machine.
