Title: Digital marketing coordinator

Position type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) – flexible or reduced hours requests will be considered

Responsible to: Communications and brand manager

Direct reports: None

Location: ShelterBox HQ, Helston, Cornwall (possible move to Truro in 2016)

Salary Band: Band 6 (£18,000 - £25,000 per annum)

Job purpose:

As coordinator for ShelterBox’s social media, email marketing and digital marketing activities:

Contribute to the implementation of an effective communications and brand strategy in line with ShelterBox’s fundraising objectives. To generate marketing leads and to help develop an engaging donor user experience. To coordinate digital advertising spends, implement and deliver email marketing and social media strategies. Working within a multi-skilled communications team, and closely with ShelterBox’s fundraising team, as well as liaising with London based digital agencies.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Conduct audit of current digital output and sector trends and opportunities

• Develop a digital marketing strategy, including social media, email marketing and digital advertising

• Keep abreast of social, CPC and digital marketing trends and best practice

• Work to briefs and content calendars to schedule and coordinate appeals, events and marketing content

• Digital design (Adobe applications) and copywriting for social, reports etc.

• Google analytics (measurement and interpretation)

• Using Campaign Monitor to design and distribute email marketing campaigns

• Create social media content

• Use social media management tools (measurement and interpretation)

• Relationship manage digital marketing agency to manage online advertising spend

• Use website CMS to publish content, where necessary

• Develop a plan for digital output in times of major disasters

• As may be assigned by the communications and brand manager or the CEO from time to time.
