Treasurer’s Report

➢ Motion to move $15K to money market.

President’s Report

➢ U13G1 Coaching Certification

o Coach currently holds a license that the coach states is the equivalent of an E license however MYSA recognizes it as the equivalent of an F license

o If MYSA does not recognize the license as an E license the coach will have to re-interview for the position

➢ U10G1 Coaching Concern

o Lisa will follow up with Frank Montagna (currently the assistant coach) to determine if he is interested in assuming the head coaching position for the U10G1 team in the fall

o Board will await tryouts to determine how to address the coaching staff for the fall

➢ Tryout schedule for Fall 2010

o Boys Tryout – June 14 & 16 (Monday and Wednesday)

o Girls Tryout – June 15 & 17 (Tuesday and Thursday)

➢ Student Coaching Program

o Initiation of the Student coaching mentoring program designed establish a coaching base with student athletes who express an interest in coaching

o Motion to institute Student coaching mentoring program as a part of ASA for a minimum of two years.

In Town – Vice President’s Report

➢ Schedules complete

o Coaches need to be assigned to team color

➢ Season schedule

o In town season will run from Sunday, April 18 – Sunday, June 13

o Rain date will be Sunday, June 20th

➢ Coaches bag

o Cindy will assemble, distribute and collect coaches bags at the end of the season

o Bill will talk with Soccer City about getting a kit for the coaches

➢ Field assignments

o Clark – This is the only field to be used by In Town

o Jr. High – One ¾ field for Pioneer Valley U9 & U10

o Robinson Pool

▪ Two large fields for Pioneer Valley U11-U14

▪ Three intro fields

o Fields that are OFF LIMITS

▪ Middle School

▪ School Street fields

➢ There has been some confusion about which fields correspond with the PVJSL schedule

o Tim will label each field at Robinson to clarify the confusion

Director of Field Operations

➢ Water Bill

o The meters have been located.

o The town will return to re-read the meters. One meter was working and one was not. There is a chance they read the wrong one.

Director of Referees

➢ Ed will attend the In Town Meeting

➢ Referee fees will remain the same as last season

Communications Director

➢ Summer Soccer Camp

o Pantusco’s would like to use the Junior High for a summer camp during the last week in July

Director of Field Operations

➢ Clark field has roots sticking out of the ground that poses a safety issue

o Tim will follow up with the Town of Agawam to address this

➢ Goals need to be moved

➢ Signs to be posted at Robinson and Clark

➢ Signs will be places stating no dogs, no golfing, etc.

Other Business

➢ Scholarship applications

o Phil will review the applications

o Scholarship committee includes Phil, Tom, Lisa, Denise and Steve

➢ Discussion on lease agreement for field extension

o Review try-out procedures for In-Town
