Evidence-Based Program DirectorFLSA ClassificationNon-exemptSalary Grade/Level/Family/Range$36/hourReports toExecutive DirectorDate 1/22/2021Job Description?Summary/objective The Faith Community Nurse Network of the Greater Twin Cities (FCNN) is a nonprofit organization serving faith community nurses (FCNs) across Minnesota. FCNN promotes the professional role of the FCN and supports FCNs to strengthen outcomes of their nursing care.We are eager to welcome others to our team who are dedicated to pursuing our mission to advance faith community nursing by providing a whole-person approach to individual and population health. We seek an Evidence-Based Program Director to work 32 hours per week to oversee all aspects of our evidence-based health promotion programming for older adults. The purpose of this grant-funded position is to manage and support faith community nurses and other health professionals to lead evidence-based workshops in accordance with grant goals and requirements. The Evidence-Based Program Director will be committed to the mission and values of the Faith Community Nurse Network and evidence-based programming.Essential functionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Manage, implement, and evaluate all evidence-based programs in accordance with program goals and grant requirementsBecome certified as a Master Trainer and Leader to facilitate a series of evidence-based health promotion programs such as Stepping On, A Matter of Balance, and Living Well with Chronic ConditionsEvaluate evidence-based program fidelity and delivery, demonstrating a commitment to quality and proactively seeking to make improvements to systems and processesLead evidence-based workshops to maintain program certificationsOversee recruiting of faith community nurses and other health professionals to participate as volunteer program leaders, coordinating regular leader trainingsEngage program leaders in planning, marketing, and facilitating workshops in faith communities, senior living, and other community sitesSupport program leaders to ensure a positive, meaningful experienceBuild and maintain strong, constructive relationships with a diverse range of individual and organizational partnersRepresent FCNN at relevant evidence-based program community meetings and eventsParticipate in regular team meetings, ensuring close interaction and coordination in carrying out evidence-based programsStaff and work with FCNN Evidence-Based Practice CommitteeWork closely with the Executive Director in supervision of the Outreach Director to ensure goals for evidence-based program-related outreach and relationship building are metContinually update FCNN website and social media with up-to-date information and eventsPrepare and submit required project reports, financial reports, and plans per grant requirementsWork with FCNN staff to assure project financial reports are accurate and financial records are kept in accordance with grant requirementsWork with Executive Director on resource development needs and grant writing as directedComplete other projects and assignments as directed by Executive DirectorCompetenciesA self-starter with the ability to manage their work time well and to complete tasks thoroughly and accuratelyAbility to work with flexibility, efficiency, and enthusiasm, both individually and as part of a team to achieve grant goalsDemonstrated ability to think resourcefully, strategically, and creatively to solve problemsSupervisory responsibilitiesThe Evidence-Based Program Director will supervise the part-time Outreach Director to ensure outreach goals are met.Work environmentWork hours are between 8:30AM – 5:00PM, M-FTypical office environmentWork will be done from home with in-office options as approved by the Executive DirectorPhysical demandsOccasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 poundsConsiderable time is spent at a desk using a computerTravel requiredRegular travel with personal vehicle within the regionRequired education and experienceBachelor’s degree in nursing plus at least three years of relevant experienceDemonstrated ability to plan, manage, and follow through on multiple daily tasks and projectsExperience in relationship-building, volunteer management, and/or organization developmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience with public speaking and making professional presentationsPreferred education and experienceEducation in the specialty practice of faith community nursing or willingness to receive educationPrevious experience and/or knowledge of evidence-based health promotion programs for older adultsSkills in data management, online surveys, software tools applicable to FCNN or ability to learn (Zoom, Little Green Light, MailChimp, SurveyMonkey, Microsoft Office suite, etc.)Financial management and budgeting experienceAdditional eligibility requirementsMust possess a valid driver’s license, proof of current insurance coverage, and dependable transportationAffirmative Action/EEO statement The Faith Community Nurse Network does not discriminate against any applicant for employment because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, status in regard to public assistance, membership or activity in a local commission, disability, sexual orientation, or age in regard to any position for which the applicant for employment is qualified.
