MCPHS University Disability Support ServicesGraduate Assistant 2020-2021 Dates of Employment: August 2020 – May, 2021. This is a 9-month position. Education Required: Currently or will be pursuing a master’s degree in special education, higher education and/or student affairs administration, education, counseling or related field concurrently while in the position.Experience Desired: Undergraduate clinical work, rehabilitation counseling, counseling, special education, student leadership, orientation, residence life, community service, or related experiences.Brief Description: The Graduate Assistant for Disability Support Services (DSS) works twenty hours per week to assist the Director of Disability Support Services and Testing Coordinator with daily operations as they relate to Disability Support Services.Assist with scheduling and conducting student appointmentsCompile monthly Disability Support Services data reportsHelp assess, develop and evaluate the Disability Support Services processAssist in reviewing and editing the Non-Discrimination Policy and the Grievance Policy within the Student HandbookDemonstrate teamwork, leadership, and professionalism while working with and among the Student Affairs staffRespect the confidential nature of the students receiving Disability Support ServicesBe available, visible, and approachable to students within the University community through weekly office hours, and weekly one-on-one meetingsFacilitate proctoring of examsAdditional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Disability Support Services.Contact:Disability Support ServicesBridget Sullivandss@mcphs.edu? ................
