Dear Students and Parents,

We are pleased that you have decided to join our community. Welcome to Central Washington University.

Attending Discover Orientation will help you adjust to your new home away from home and will provide your first opportunity to experience academic and student life at Central.

During Discover Orientation, you will meet future classmates, faculty, and staff; consult with academic advisors; register for classes; get answers to questions; learn about campus activities; and tour the campus and surrounding community.

We look forward to seeing you at orientation. We are sure you will enjoy exploring all that Central has to offer.

Best wishes for an exciting first year at CWU!

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION 2014

Dear Students and Guests:

We are excited to have you join us for Discover, Phase II of Orientation. Discover Orientation is required for all incoming first year and running start students. Our goal is to welcome you to Central Washington University's campus community, make your stay comfortable, and assist you in your transition to college life. Student success is our number one goal.

Your Discover Orientation leader is your personal host during your visit. Your leader can assist you with information regarding sessions, your accommodations, and other needs you may have. Many faculty and staff are also available to assist you. We look forward to serving you and making your visit informative and enjoyable.

For the comfort of all of our guests, please note our Discover Orientation policies:

1. Discover Orientation is a substance-free program for students. Alcohol and drug possession or use anytime during your visit will not be tolerated. If students are in violation of this policy, they will meet with CWU conduct officers to determine their fall quarter registration status.

2. Quiet hours in the residence halls begin at 10:00 p.m. Please be courteous to your neighbors. Remember, you have an early morning on day two, so make sure to get some rest.

3. Please wear your name tag at all Discover Orientation sessions and meals.

4. Be respectful of others by keeping cell phones on vibrate or silent when possible.

We look forward to meeting you. Welcome to Central Washington University!
