The Pantry is open to all!! If you, or someone you know, has mealtime or household needs, please visit the Community Food Pantry at the United Methodist Church.

The Community Food Pantry now needs kids cereals( Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops or Cheerios and also Era laundry soap, and Kleenex.

Justice For All is changing things up this year! You’re invited to join us at the combined Fall Banquet & Annual Meeting/Fall Auction on Thursday evening, Oct 1, Dinner at 6:00PM at the Parkview Events Center of Rock Valley, IA. Due to COVID, we will not be inviting a ministry partner to travel this year, but you will hear from many of them virtually! There will be a short business meeting. The Fall Auction will be looking a bit different this year, as much of it will be online. There will be a Silent Auction at the event and a complete list of online items will also be available. Reservations for the meal are necessary and can be made by calling 712-476-2804 or emailing joeldw@jfa-. Please join us as we celebrate JFA ministry, both past and future, as well as support JFA ministry through the auction! An offering will be taken for JFA ministry.

Cadet Pizza and Bowling Kick-Off on Friday, September 25. All boys grades 3-8 and their families are invited out for a fun evening of fellowship to kick off our new Cadet year. Baptism this Morning – We anticipate celebrating the sacrament of Holy Baptism this Morning, as it is received by Gavyn Lee Howard, infant son of Tessa & Treven and brother of Hadlee, Kamryn, Blake & Karter. As we serve as witnesses to this sacrament may the Lord excite us all in His grace and mercy as He enfolds Gavyn as one of His covenant children.

We are looking for somebody who would be willing to scoop/blow the snow off of the sidewalks at church this winter. If you would be interested in doing this please let one of the council members know.

Western Christian High School will be conducting their annual Stewardship Day on Wednesday, October 7. We are looking for opportunities for our students to serve our local communities through yard work, painting, cleaning, and other volunteer activities. If you are in need of work that needs to be done around your residence please contact the school by Tuesday, September 29 at 712-439-1013.

Sanborn Christian: Please put Saturday, November 7 on your calendars. Plans are in motion to have the annual Harvest Sale meal and auction on that date.

GEMS: In the back of church the GEMS have a sign-up sheet for food for our meals. If you could help supply any of them we would really appreciate that.
