These activities all share one thing in common - the items used are stored in sheds or garages, unfortunately these items are often targeted by opportunist thieves. To stop them getting hold of your stuff we would urged you to look at your outbuildings and assess how strong the shed and garages are, if the locks are sufficient and whether additional security products should be invested in such as alarms, lighting or CCTV. In addition, you should consider what you store in these buildings as valuable items maybe better placed in your home. For more tips and advice, please follow the link below.Visit:Don't make Easter cracking for thievesPolice AdviceDon't let burglars in as the sunny weather arrivesWhilst we experience the sunny weather across the region it is great news for people wanting to get out in the garden or have a BBQ. Unfortunately the good weather is also good news for opportunist burglars, so please keep your home secure.A quarter of all burglaries across the region are as a result of burglars entering homes through open doors or windows. Help yourself by making it difficult for thieves...lock all doors and windows in unoccupied rooms. To help reduce the risk of residents falling foul of sneak thieves we offer the following crime prevention advice:. Even if you are in the house or garden, keep doors locked.. If it is hot and need to ventilate your home only leave windows open in occupied rooms.. Keep valuables - like mobiles, laptops, hand bags or wallets - out of sight where possible.. Make property identifiable by registering it on?Visit:Don't let burglars in as the sunny weather arrivesReports of children sextingChildren and young people often have access to, or have their own, mobile phones.
