School Code: 331 Course Code: 2E-F286 / 011-F119Course Duration: 3 WeeksGENERAL INFORMATIONPURPOSE: Provide USSOCOM units with the information necessary to prepare students for the Special Operations Military Deception Planner Course (SMPC).SCOPE: This memorandum covers the administrative requirements for SMPC. This document is UNCLASSIFIED. This information facilitates the proper preparation of the individual, prerequisites, and orders for attendance to the course. GENERAL:SMPC trains and educates selected personnel in the planning, execution and termination of Joint Military Deception (MILDEC) programs in support of Joint Operations. Certifies ARSOF and CF personnel as Military Deception Officers (MDO) in support of SOCOM COCOM (TSOC) authorities and missions.STUDENT INFORMATION:PREREQUISITES. This course is open to SOCOM-component Service Members. Students must have orders to attend the course, and meet the following course prerequisites:Students must be a SOCOM-component Officer (O3-O5), Warrant Officer (W3-W4), or Non-Commissioned Officer (E7-E9). Select DoD and US Interagency civilians may attend through waiver-approval process. For waiver requests, please contact the SMPC NCOIC or 6th Battalion S3.Must possess a current TOP SECRET level security clearance. Registered students must submit a visit request that includes your TS/SCI clearance with SI/TK/G/HCS caveats transmitted through SSO channels to USAJFKSWCS G2 via JPAS using SMO code W1E0AA3 NLT five (5) working days prior to the course start date.Applicants must complete online training listed below prior to Day 1 admittance. Students will also be tested on training material on Day 1.REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS:Participants must have all their affairs in order prior to in-processing. Little time will be available during the duty day to perform other non-course activities after in-processing. Participants missing more than eight hours of classroom instruction will be recommended for administrative dismissal from the course. DO NOT schedule routine appointments during duty hours during this course. Reporting time and location. Students will in-process at 0800 on the first day of class in SCIF B14, located in the basement of Kennedy Hall, Building D-3004, USAJFKSWCS, Fort Bragg, NC.Grooming. Active duty DOD will be groomed to comply with their unit’s grooming regulations or mission requirements. Uniform. Reporting and daily uniform is business casual. Business Casual (“Sharp Casual”) refers to the attire worn in an urban, high density development environment other than a strict conservative professional environment. For instance, sports coat, light jacket with windbreaker (seasonal), long of short sleeve button-down shirt (seasonal), long slacks (cotton; wool; polyester/cotton/wool blend, etc., no denim), conservative belt, conservative dress shoes, and umbrella (seasonal). GRADUATION: SMPC graduation will take place in the classroom NLT 1500 on the ATRRS graduation date. You will not make travel arrangements that conflict with graduation.TRANSPORTATION: Terminal Transportation. Course participants are advised to fly into Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY). FAY is approximately 15 miles (30 minutes) from FBNC and commercial rental vehicles are available. Participants may select choose to fly into Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). RDU is approximately 80 miles (120 minutes) from FBNC and commercial rental vehicles are available. Daily Transportation. Transportation to/from BLDG D-3004 is unavailable and must be arranged by individual participant.
