The payment will be back paid for eligible employees to Wednesday 5 August 2020.PaymentsFor pay day 27 August 2020 (pay period 202005) the following will occur:Arrears payment of $32 (prorated for time fraction) for the period 5th August to 15th August (1 week plus a partial week) will be paid.? Ongoing payment of $20 (pro rata for time fraction) per week will be paid.Employees who had the WFH payment already recorded in eduPay will not receive additional payments.One-off $100 WFH Start-up payment will be paid to employees who were not paid it in the last lockdown.Employees Not Eligible to Receive WFH paymentIf an employee is working on site at the school for their full working week, they are not eligible for the WFH allowance.? If the employee works a combination of both off-site and on-site, they are eligible for the WFH allowance.You will need to email the Schools HR – (region name) account requesting the removal of the WFH payment.? In the email include the ineligible employee’s details and the dates the payment is not to be paid for employees working from home some weeks.? ???If leave has been recorded for an employee’s full week eduPay will automatically not include the WFH payment in their pay.? An overpayment will be created if leave is recorded retrospectively. Note:An employee who is absent for part of a week is eligible for the allowance and it will be paid.Points to Note:There is no change to the way SLP payments are processed (manual Positive Input only for eligible employees by schools)There is no need to request an OPT IN for DOE Teaching Service employees as the payments will be paid automatically.The ability to manually record a positive input has been removed for DOE employees.HRWeb UpdatesHRWeb is regularly updated therefore it is important that principals, business managers and HR Administrators ensure they are accessing the latest policy, procedural information and forms as required.COVID Frequently Asked Questions Teaching Service and School CouncilPolicy Advisory Library/HRWeb page location updateHRWeb continues to be the location where your employment conditions are published, however some of the HRWeb pages (URL) for school related policy and guidelines on HRWeb have changed. Current links from the HRWeb A-Z topic index pages will be progressively updated to the new page locations. In the meantime, an automatic redirection will take you to the new page. The automatic redirection applies to pages that contain specific teaching service policy. Where the page content applies to both teaching service and public service, the original page location remains, however the content can also be found at the new location in the Policy Advisory Library (PAL). Remember to update any saved favourites to the new page location.School Local Payroll Hints and TipsReimbursement of Casual Relief Teachers (CRTs) travel and accommodation costsThe Department has been looking at ways to increase the pool of available Casual Relief Teachers (CRTs) in regional schools. For a limited time, and subject to meeting the criteria specifically developed for this purpose, the Department will be trialling the process of reimbursing regional schools for the CRT costs of travel/mileage and accommodation. This trial will initially run for the period from 3 August 2020 to 18 September 2020.This arrangement will apply to schools designated by the Department as ‘regional’ – the listing of eligible schools is available at: Department Regional Schools. This initiative does not apply to schools within the Melbourne metropolitan area.Schools remain responsible for the payment of the CRT’s salary. Claims for the reimbursement of travel/mileage and accommodation costs may be made by schools who engage CRTs either via an agency or as school council employees. The Department has advised the agencies of the trial period, the eligible schools and the reimbursement criteria. Where the reimbursement criteria are met, schools lodge claims for reimbursement via the Schools Targeted Finding Governance (STFG) Portal.More information about the reimbursement process and criteria is available at: Casual Replacement Teachers – Regional Schools. eduPay Hints and TipsWorking With Children CheckPrincipals and Business Managers are reminded that all Education Support Class employees must have recorded on eduPay a valid and current employee type Working With Children Check (WWC Check) card or have valid VIT registration recorded in lieu of the WWC Check card.A valid WWC Check card is an Employee type card (with an E), in the same name as recorded in eduPay and with an expiry date into the future. A Volunteer card (with a V) is not a valid card for employment and is not to be recorded on eduPay.Check your employee’s card details on the Working With Children Check Victoria website. Download the WWC Status Checker spreadsheet to verify multiple employees at the same time.If an Education Support Class employee has a VIT card in lieu of the WWC Check card, it must be a valid and current card. The renewal of the VIT card must be completed by 30 September 2020 and the new details recorded on eduPay by this date or a WWC Check card is required.Education Support Class employees on the School Local Payroll must also have valid WWC Check card or VIT registration recorded. This includes an employee who is not currently being engaged or regularly employed. If the employee is unable to or does not provide an updated or valid card their employment record on SLP should be ceased immediately.Employees are not to engage in child related activities if they do not hold a valid, current card. Contact the Employee Conduct Branch for advice if an employee does not have a WWC Check or VIT Registration card.Action:Ensure your employee’s WWCC are fully up to date and valid.
