A menu of carefully designed, surprising and flavourful hot dogs will offer a dedicated collection of dishes ideal for sampling against some of the world’s leading craft beers.Dog Eat Dog, located at 29-31 Essex Road, London, N1 2SA, in Angel, London, is the first dedicated food-led project from the craft brewery, which originally launched in 2007. The menu includes a wide variety of ‘dogs featuring traditional ingredients as well as eclectic and unexpected alternative takes on a classic. Some examples of the epicurean creations include;Tandoori Chicken Dog, paired with Punk IPA This Tandoori-Spiced chicken Dog levels up the usual hot dog flavours with mango chutney, mint raita, red onion, chopped tomato, pickled carrot, coriander and crushed poppadum. The fresh, citrusy carbonation from BrewDog’s flagship Punk IPA cuts through the richness of the Tandoori Dog, and the hoppy explosion of exotic fruits complements the garam masala spice by gentle elevation. Tropical fruit and white wine grape flavours from Nelson Sauvin dance around sharpness of the mango chutneyKimchee Dog with Five AM Red AleFive AM works wonders when paired with the standout Kimchee Dog. The pork and beef Dog, white cabbage kimchee, teriyaki sauce, toasted black sesame and nori seaweed strips offer a huge array of flavours to meld with the complex Five AM. Dark crystal malts offer up rich, deep brown sugar flavours that resonate with the tangy teriyaki sauce. An underlying contrast thrives between the kimchee, sweet dill pickle and orangey hop aromas, with sweetness from the malt soothing the sourness of the kimchee.Chorizo Dog paired with Jack Hammer A spicy chorizo sausage piled high with manchego cheese, almond romesco ketchup, smoked mayo and rocket. Very few beers could stand up to the ferocity of this dog, but Jack Hammer takes the challenge. Combining the two forms creates a flavourful monster of a pairing; a total assault on the senses (in a good way). The intense spiciness of the sausage lifts Jack Hammer’s infamous bitterness to a whole new galaxy, which in turn lifts the chilli to culminate in a crescendo of intense flavour and mouthfeel. BrewDog co-founder, James Watt said:“Dog Eat Dog is London’s new home for epic hot dog dishes that can stand up to a carefully curated craft beer draft selection. People are getting savvier with their choices, and offering incredible international craft beer along with really top quality, flavour-packed food will provide people with the ideal mix of awesome that we know they’re after.”Still intent on world domination of craft beer, Dog Eat Dog will serve 12 beer lines, including 25 bottle options. Popular BrewDog headliners such as Punk IPA and Dead Pony Club will be available, as well as an exciting selection of guest craft beers from around the world. As with every BrewDog venue, Dog Eat Dog will serve as a hop haven for beer evangelists, with knowledgeable, Cicerone-trained staff on hand to advise on the best brews to pair with each hot dog dish. For fizz fanatics and kids, there will also be a Square Root Soda Fountain with an ever-changing selection of craft sodas to choose from. Dog Eat Dog has capacity for 60 people and plays host to an outdoor area for dining. Hot Dog enthusiasts can also grab a dog to go with the Take Out option.BrewDog is the UK’s fastest-growing food & drinks brand, and its phenomenal domination in the beer market has resulted in the opening of 34 bars worldwide since 2010, export to 55 countries and the hire of more than 365 staff. BrewDog’s rapid growth is in part down to its game-changing crowdfunding scheme, Equity for Punks, the fourth round of which went live in April this year. James Watt commented;“We recently announced that we hit ?10m in the fourth round of crowdfunding via Equity for Punks IV, and it’s our dogged army of beer punks who are helping us realise our massive expansion plans, allowing us to keep opening fun and exciting craft beer-led venues across the globe.”Over 35,000 shareholders have invested over ?17million over four rounds of Equity for Punks to date, which is more money taken through crowdfunding than any other business on record. The money raised will fund new bar openings across the globe, including DogHouse in Glasgow, BrewDog Soho in London and the brewery’s first bar in Germany, located in Berlin. With an increased annual turnover of 63 per cent to over ?29.6million in 2014, compared to ?18million in 2013, the offer is attracting a lot of interest from potential investors. More information about BrewDog bars and venues can be found at bars.--- ENDS ---What is BrewDog?Bored of the industrially brewed lagers and stuffy ales that dominated the UK market, school friends James Watt and Martin Dickie established BrewDog in 2007. They decided the best way to fix this undesirable predicament was to brew their own beers. Both only 24 at the time, BrewDog’s cofounders leased a building, got some scary bank loans, spent all their money on stainless steel and started making hardcore beers.“We are dedicated to making cool, contemporary and progressive beers showcasing some of the world’s classic beer styles. All with an innovative twist and customary BrewDog bite.”James Watt and Martin DickieFor more information please contact:The RomansJack Davyt.0207 0121 883e.Jack@ ................
