Goal: Skilled Teachers Teachers will have a solid foundation of the skills required to develop technology centered lessons with the applicable resources (Promethean boards, laptops, student response systems, document cameras). Evaluation Method: Walk through observation checklist conducted via department chairs and administrators for teachers; technology embedded lesson plans submitted in OneNote. Success Indicator: 100% of teachers must implement a strong technology lesson once a week. Classes will begin in September 2016. Teachers will have professional development meetings once a month PLC meetings to learn and follow up on the technologies. No cost. These classes will take place during monthly PLC meetings. The media specialist will implement these monthly meetings. Administrator, media specialist and department chairs.Mentor teachers (teachers with strong skills in one or more of the appropriate technologies) will be assigned to teachers will less experience. Mentor teachers will meet with mentees weekly for a few minutes to gauge how the lessons and activities are developing. They can address problems at this time.
