ICT Staff Skills AuditUse the following to help evaluate your confidence with and current use of technologies. Whilst these statements are not exhaustive pick one that most closely represents your current practice. iPad Basics 1I am not familiar with the basic functions of iPad. I have little to no experience of using the iPad in a personal or professional capacity. I require further support to utilise the iPad in the classroom. 2I am familiar with the basic functions of iPad. I can confidently navigate the iPad. I am able insert my passcode, connect to the internet, have set up an Apple ID and can download and delete apps. I am familiar with and can use multitasking gestures to navigate my iPad. I am confident using the iPad to take photos and record video. I am familiar with some apps e.g. Pages and Keynote app and accessibility features but require further support to use them effectively in the classroom. 3I am confident with the basic functions of the iPad. I can do all aspects of level 2. I am able to use photo and video within creative apps such as iMovie with confidence. I can organise and manage my apps using the App Store functions. I am confident using apps such as Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iMovie etc. and feel that I can utilise these in the classroom as part of my own personal professional learning. -952514605Comments:00Comments:PC/Laptop Basics 1I can use the very basic functions of a Windows 7 BT Laptop or Desktop. I can access my own files on the server and use Microsoft Outlook, Word and access the Internet. I am not confident in using any other Programs or functions of Windows 7.2I am confident in using some of the functions of Windows 7. I can create shortcuts, resize Windows and use the ‘right click’ to access menus and shortcuts. I can use many of the programs that are part of the core build such as Powerpoint, Excel and Seemis.3I am confident with most aspects of Windows 7 and the software that comes as part of the core build. I can ‘Pin’ programs to the taskbar, use shortcut keys and easily multitask by arranging Windows. I am confident in the use of the majority of the programs that come with the Core build including OneNote and I use my Synced OneDrive folder to store my files.left199390Comments:00Comments:Administration1I am unfamiliar with most aspects of the Office 365 environment. I am able to use the basic functions of email (sending, attaching documents etc) and am aware of the calendar function. I do not feel confident accessing Office 365 on the iPad. 2I am confident using the email and calendar tools within Office 365 on both the PC and iPad. I am aware of, but do not fully utilise OneDrive for storing and organising my files/documents. 3I am confident using all aspects of Office 365, including Sites, and can utilise these on multiple platforms including BT computers and using available iPad apps. left152400Comments:00Comments:left3733800Comments:00Comments:Productivity 1I am aware of some basic features of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher) and can use some of the features to make simple documents e.g. basic Word document or PowerPoint Presentation. I do not feel confident teaching others how to use these.2I am confident with most features of the Microsoft Office Suite and can utilise them for my own and in class productivity e.g. making banners and newsletters in Publisher. I am aware that these are also available as apps on the iPad and am beginning to utilise these. As well as this I am aware of and can utilise the basic functions within the Apple iWorks software including Pages, Numbers and Keynote. I would be interested to find out about alternative applications which can aid my productivity. 3I am confident with both Microsoft and Apple productivity software. I utilise them both in my own productivity, creating resources for the classroom and am confident teaching the main features of them to pupils (appropriate to the age/stage I teach). Learning and Teaching 1When designing a lesson/series of lessons technology is not a priority when considering how to enhance the learning experience for my pupils. I infrequently use technology in my lessons and when used it is usually as a substitution for ‘conventional’ tools/methods of learning e.g. write and present a business pitch for a product using Word or Pages.2When designing a lesson/series of lessons I often consider how technology may enhance the learning experience for my pupils. I often use technology in my lessons. When evaluating the use of technology I believe it is used to enhance learning and at times transforms the learning experience for pupils e.g. use presentation software such as Keynote or Prezi to present the business pitch to others.3When designing a lesson/series of lessons I frequently consider how technology may enhance and transform the learning experience for my pupils. I regularly use technology in a way that both enhances and transforms the learning experiences for my pupils e.g. use multimedia software such as iMovie or VideoScribe to create a video business pitch.
