|The PAVO Convention headquarters will be the convenient Crowne Plaza hotel in downtown Kansas City.  Don't delay making your |

|reservation, as rooms are going fast!!  The majority of PAVO educational sessions and events will be at the hotel.  |

|Take a dip in the outdoor heated pool, work out in the fitness center, grab a bite at the City Grille, enjoy a drink or simply relax |

|at the City Bar or lobby Starbucks. Rooms come equipped with free high-speed Internet access, a work desk, and room service. |

|The special convention rate is just $114/night, as long as space is available in the PAVO/AVCA block.  The reservation cut-off date |

|is November 21; please note that once a reservation is made, any cancellation will result in a one night charge (exceptions may be |

|Board Chair Assembly  |

|Saturday afternoon is reserved for the PAVO Board Chair Assembly.  Representatives from PAVO boards will have an opportunity to |

|exchange ideas on training and recruiting, as well as interact with the PAVO staff to discuss policies, procedures, and issues |

|associated with local board administration. |

|  |

|A special event is planned this year - Al Goldberger, Sports Law Attorney, will speak to the group about Protecting Your Association |

|- Legal Issues for PAVO Boards and Their Officers.  |

|  |

|The number of board chairs who attend grows each year.  Does your board have representation at this important annual meeting?  If |

|not, discuss the possibilities with your board leadership and members.  |

|The NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championships will include two semi-final matches on Thursday (12/16, 7 pm) and the final |

|match on Saturday (12/18, 7:30 pm).  |

|Tickets are going fast, but PAVO Convention attendees can purchase tickets in the PAVO seat block, which is in the lower bowl of the |

|Sprint Center.  Tickets are $64 for both the Thursday and Saturday sessions.  More information is on the downloadable registration |
