LAZY FARMER MAKES DUCK’S LIFE A MISERY

At a farm not far from here a poor little duck has to spend all day slaving away, while the farmer lies in bed. Is this fair? This is what one of Duck’s friends had to say...

What is Duck thinking?

My Day by Cow

When I woke up it was still dark and it was raining. I was cold but I galloped round the field kicking up the puddles to get warm. At last kind Duck came to lead me into the barn. The farmer leaned out of the window and shouted, “How goes the work?” He is so lazy.

We could hear Sheep baaing. I think she was cold too, because up on the high hills it snowed in the night. Duck said,

“I better go and find her when I have taken you into the barn.”

After a while Duck came to milk me, but she looked so tired. Later on, she came back to the barn and was very weepy. We all decided we had to do something soon, if the farmer was just going to lie around.
