MINUTES, HENDERSON CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING, WEDNESDAY, January 17, 2018

Meeting called by Mayor Paul Menne at 7:00 P.M. Present were council members Kelly Braun, Robyn Geldner and Jim Wartman. Also present were Police Chief Karl Haugen, Jim Bauman, Troy Koester, Todd Hagen and Cory James.

Motion Wartman, seconded Braun to approve minutes from the December 19, 2017 meeting. Motion carried.

Police Chief Haugen reported on monthly activities.

Cory James presented bids for the North 6th Street Project.

Motion Braun, seconded Geldner to accept the bid from WW Blacktop of Mankato for $106,434,60. Motion carried.

Todd Hagen from Ehlers and Associates presented information on the 218A Bond sale. Mayor Menne called the hearing on the tax abatement bonds to order at 7:10 P.M. No oral or written comments-meeting adjourned.

Motion Braun, seconded Geldner to approve Resolution 2018-01 related to approving the property tax abatement for the street and parks improvement project. Motion carried.

Motion Wartman, seconded Braun to approve the resolutions in the 2018A bond book as recommended by Todd Hagen-Motion unanimously carried.

Jim Bauman provided a 2017 summary of building permits issued and activities.

City Administrator reported on activity report and financial policies.

Braun reported on Henderson Fire District meeting.

Motion Braun, seconded Wartman to approve the joint MRVPUC agreement as presented related to board make-up and terms. Motion carried

Menne reported on January 16 Henderson Community meeting-need to do follow-ups per the Henderson Comprehensive Plan and get more plans printed.

Motion Braun, seconded Geldner to approve 2018 camping-$30 for an RV site and $15 for a tent site. Motion carried.

Motion Geldner, seconded Wartman to approve the revised meeting schedule with modifications; Motion carried.

Motion Braun, seconded Wartman to grant request for Earl Schutz to remove utility charge service from his station Main Street property. Motion carried.

Motion Wartman, seconded Braun to approve the appointments made by Mayor Menne for 2018 per the attached sheet. Motion carried.

Mayor Menne adjourned the meeting at 8:55 P.M.
