This publication implements Air Mobility Command Supplement to Air Force Instruction (AFI) 36-2903, Dress and Personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel, Incorporating Change 1, 27 Jan 2016, and is supplemented as follows. This publication implements Dover Air Force Base (AFB) policy by supplementing specific processes and procedures that are unique to Dover. This publication is applicable to all units on Dover AFB. Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained IAW Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 33363, Management of Records, and disposed of IAW Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Schedule (RDS). Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) using the Air Force (AF) Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication; route AF Form 847s from the field through the appropriate functional's chain of command.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

This document integrates parts of DAFBI 36-2601, Dover Air Force Base Consolidated Instruction, 15 August 2014 and numerous wing policy memos directly related to the parent AFI.

2.8.13. (DOVER) The following locations are no hat / no salute areas on Dover AFB.

2.8.13.1. (DOVER) Picnic table area adjacent to Wg/CC office, building 201.

2.8.13.2. (DOVER) Covered patio areas behind building 204.

2.8.13.3. (DOVER) Covered patio areas behind building 206.

2.8.13.4. (DOVER) North East corner of building 501, flight line side.

2.8.13.5. (DOVER) Areas between buildings 501 and 502 and East side of buildings 501, 502, 509, 550, and 551 to the flightline.

2.8.13.6. (DOVER) The patio area behind building 810 (Mulligan's Sports Bar & Grill).

2.8.13.7. (DOVER) The patio area at building 479 (The Landings).

2.8.13.8. (DOVER) Areas between building/hangars 760, 792, 794, and 793.

2.8.13.9. (DOVER) Area between building 725 and Hangar 714.

2.8.13.10. (DOVER) Paved area West of 712 used as Designated Tobacco Use Area.

2.8.13.11. (DOVER) Service road between building 721 and the barrier that runs from building 716 to 725.

2.8.13.12. (DOVER) Munitions Storage Area.

2.8.13.13. (DOVER) In-Transit Munitions Storage Area.

2.8.13.14. (DOVER) Covered gazebo on south side of building 300.

6.1.10.2. (DOVER) Sage Green Fleece is authorized to be worn indoors when temperature dictates and with supervisory approval.

6.2.7.4. (DOVER) Black Watch Caps are authorized to be worn. Winter season at Dover AFB is not defined due to the extreme daily swings in temperature throughout the year. Outer garments and watch caps can be worn when temperature dictates.

6.2.8.4. (DOVER) The Sage Green Watch Cap is authorized to be worn. See Paragraph 6.2.7. for interpretation of temperature.

7.1.7.4. (DOVER) Dover AFB Unit Commanders may authorize wear of an optional solid back or dark blue baseball/sports cap with the Air Force symbol or U.S. Air Force printed/embroidered on the front during organized PT and individual PT.

8.3.7.1. (DOVER) Morale Patches and Tabs are authorized on the shoulders of the Flight Duty Uniform (FDU) on Fridays or during special events.

8.4.5.2. (DOVER) Wear of morale nametags on Fridays or during special events is authorized.

9.1.2. (DOVER) Authorized wear of plain, dark blue, or black religious head coverings while indoors. Furthermore, plain, dark blue or black religious head coverings may be worn, concealed under the uniform/head gear while outdoors. This approval to wear religious head coverings is only applicable within the installation.

9.6.1.2.1. (DOVER) The wear of the ABU patterned battle shirt (similar to Fire Resistant, long sleeve OCP battle shirt but ABU pattern) is authorized during warm/hot weather under the descretion of the Defense Force Commander (DFC) while conducting official Security Forces

Operations. When wear is authorized, it will be worn with the sleeves down. Name and rank will be affixed to the sleeve at all times. The ABU patterned combat shirt will not be worn on its own at any time. If an individual removes their IPE/plate carrier at any time, they must put on an ABU blouse. (This has been authorized through AMC/A1 coordination.)

A8.5.1.1. (DOVER) Blue, black, or tan coveralls (may be insulated Carhartt-style) are authorized to be worn. When wearing the blue, black, or tan coveralls (may be insulated Carhartt-style), members will follow AFI 36-2903_AMCSUP, Dress and Personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel, Attachment 8, Paragraph A8.5., same as the white, olive green, or tan coveralls. (Blue and black have been authorized through AMC/A1 coordination.)

A8.5.1.2. (DOVER) Insulated coat and pants with digitized tiger stripe print (e.g. Dakota Outerwear) are authorized to be worn in the work area only. (This has been authorized through AMC/A1 coordination.)

A8.10.1. (DOVER) Gen III, Level 7 Cold Weather system is authorized to be worn.

A8.11.1. (DOVER) Parkas are authorized to be worn.
