Job Title: Registry Specialist Grade Level: G-9 Division: Contract Care - CCMSExempt Non-Exempt SALARY: Minimum $18.56/hr Midpoint - $23.17/hr Maximum -$27.79/hrReports To: Executive Administrator of Quality Early Learning / Program Support Manager Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood EducationA minimum of 3 years’ experience in an early childhood settingPrevious experience and proven ability in preparing and conducting training and developmental workshops for adults with effective results Experience in/understanding of the provision for quality customer serviceAbility to work independently and self-motivateBe conversant in best practices and research Proven ability to consistently meet monthly project goals/deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey thoughts, ideas and concepts to others Knowledge of computer software, especially Microsoft Word and ExcelUnderstanding of the NAEYC Accreditation process gained through experience or trainingMust be able to pass a pre-employment and/or periodic physical examination, TB skin test, and complete background check every 24 months. Security Sensitive This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code 51.215 Responsibilities: Maintain a professional workspace Work with other staff members as a team to accomplish Registry goalsShare responsibility to assure that all Registry materials are error-freeMaintain timely documentation/data entry into an electronic data systemCommunicate well with users who have little IT knowledgeProcess Registry applications in a timely and accurate manner Evaluate and provide information regarding Registry rules/guidelines to Early Learning Professionals via phone, email, or face to face Reviews and validates self-reported training, education, and experience documents for users of the Workforce Registry, connected to Texas Rising Star child care centers and licensed/registered child care centers and homes. Contacts Registry users to request more information, or additional support to go with the self-reported documents provided, in order to validate documents.Evaluate and review certificates of completion for registry approved trainings submittedAssists users in application and renewal paperwork, and documents. Communicates with users about status of account. Perform other duties as assignedPreferred Skills:Adult training skills.English-Spanish bilingual skills preferred.
