Position Title:Early Childhood Education Program CoordinatorReports to:Early Childhood Education Director Location:Achievement Schools - Central Office Memphis, TennesseeAbout the Achievement School District:The Achievement School District continues to serve as the State of Tennessee Department of Education’s most intensive intervention method for schools under Every Student Succeeds Act. The Achievement School District (ASD) currently operates twenty-seven schools across the state of Tennessee. We are seeking to hire an Early Childhood Education Program Coordinator. Position Overview:The ASD Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program seeks to hire an Early Childhood Education Program Coordinator to support pre-k staff within the Achievement Schools. The Early Childhood Education Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for monitoring compliance with state and federal ECE program requirements, and curriculum implementation and assessments of the Achievement Schools Early Childhood Programs. This position will report directly to the Early Childhood Education Director but will some flexibility to implement Early Childhood Education Program plans within the Achievement Schools. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in an Early Childhood Education regulatory environment and strong project management skills. Specific Position Responsibilities:Manage Achievement Schools implementation of District Early Childhood Education policies and procedures Supervise the Achievement Schools Early Childhood Education program compliance with state and federal requirements which includes annual inspections, monitoring visits, emergency drills, annual state certification process, etc. Facilitate and/or assist with required training and district monitoring for ECE programs.Conduct informal observations to assess program effective instruction and developmentally appropriate practices Manage the implementation of state mandated and grant required assessment for early childhood programs. Lead PreK staff professional learning communities (PLC) meetings to provide coaching support and data driven instruction for students enrolledCoordinate and share lessons to support families enrolled in virtual learning platforms. Support management of record keeping for finance, accountability, and assessment data essential for stakeholders to streamline and optimize decision-makingCreate and maintain a learning environment that supports all children and families, be responsive to individual needs, and promote growth and developmentDemonstrate excellent oral and written communication skillsConduct routine ECERS-3 and CLASS program observations to ensure quality programmingEvaluate teacher effectiveness, provide coaching supports and determine appropriate resources to aide professional growthManage program compliance with state and federal ECE requirements Supervise implementation of strategic interventions to address identified developmental deficits to ensure fidelity of RTI services Develop and implement a systematic procedure for transitioning children and parents from the Preschool/Pre-K program to a kindergarten programOther duties as assigned by the Early Childhood Education DirectorQualifications:Current state teaching license, preferred certification in Early Childhood Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Early Childhood Education or a closely related field or a minimum Child Development Associate (CDA) CredentialLeadership or management experience in an early childhood environment Knowledge of TDOE School Administered Child Care Rules, Chapter 0520-12-01 and experience with developing compliance measures to monitor program qualityBasic knowledge and understanding of early childhood development, assessment instruments, determine results-oriented best practices, and be able to facilitate technical assistance Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance; travel between site locations is required throughout the school daySalary and Benefits: Salary: $55,000.
