Letter B is for Bear!7620024320500 Here is a fun project you can work on this week!Steps:?Print out the letter B page?Cut across the line near the bottom of the page to separate the two circles? Before you color the B, use a black marker to draw the eyes, nose, and mouth on the bear. Note: If you want to make a more detailed bear, use the black marker to add the other details (circles inside the ears, paws, feet, eyelashes, etc.) ?To make the nose and mouth, first draw the oval nose, and then make a smile under it. The last step is to draw a line down from the nose to the mouth7620025146000?Cut out the circle ears and glue them on your B?Next use a colored pencil or crayon to color the B brown. Don’t forget to color the ears brown too! Note: The bear can be any color (whatever motivates your preschooler to color!)?Use a lighter color to color the inside of the letter B?You can also cut out the letter B and glue it on a piece of colored paper. Note: If you're going to cut out the letter B and put it on a piece of paper, wait to glue on the ears!?Write your name at the bottom of the pageHere are some questions you can ask your preschooler:What sound does the letter B make? What color is the bear? How many legs does a bear have? Can you think of some colors that begin with the B sound?Does the B have straight or curvy lines, or both? What shape are the bear’s ears?Is the bear’s mouth above or below its nose?Check out these fun bear activities!!!-18097514287500Snack time! What you need: BreadBananaRaisinsButterSugarCinnamonHow to make it: Mix sugar with cinnamon. Toast bread lightly. Spread with butter while hot. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture. Slice the banana and use one slice for the bear's nose. Place raisins for the eyes and one for the black nose. Finish the bear with two banana slices for the ears. Serve and enjoy!Gross Motor and Pretend Play:?Make a bear’s den!You can make a bear’s den out of blankets, tables, chairs, sofa cushions, bunkbed, tent, etc. You can also make one out of a cardboard box! Pretend you are a bear waking up in the spring! Make your bear den comfy with pillows! You can bring some books, blankets, a flashlight, and some stuffed animals. Here are some examples of bear dens:-9525028130500247015016637000-4445016637000Counting Game“Who Has More”You need:Paper bowls (one for each player)Items that you can count such as Gummy Bears, Teddy Grahams, bear counters, Cheerios, etc.Dice (If you don’t have dice, you can take six small pieces of paper, write a number on each piece, and draw out of a hat. Scissors (to cut the cave opening)Crayons, markers, or paint (optional)Cotton balls (optional)?First, each player gets a bowl?Next, turn the bowls into bear dens. This can be as simple as cutting an opening in each bowl. If you want to make it look more like a den, you can use gray or brown markers or crayons to color the bowls. You can glue cotton balls around the base of the den to represent snow. You could also glue moss around the base of the den. If you want your preschooler to improve fine motor skills, encourage them to color the den before they get to play the game! Remember, it doesn’t have to look perfect. It's more about the process, not the final product.?Game play: Each player takes a turn rolling the die. Based on the number rolled, count out that many Teddy Grahams (or whatever items you are using). As the items are counted, push them into the bear den one by one. Once each player has rolled, counted, and placed their items in the den, it's time to figure out “who has more”! All players lift up the bear den at the same time to reveal who has more. This is a great time to re-count the items, line them up, and compare. Maybe the winner gets to eat some of their Teddy Grahams! Game rules can be changed to fit the needs of the players!34575752286000061912521907500This game will help your preschooler review their counting skills, one to one correspondence, and the important concepts of more and less! Have fun!Check out this fun and easy recipe for cloud dough!Click here for more detailed directions on making cloud dough16192550609500Ingredients?2 cups All purpose flour?1/4 cup Vegetable oil canola / olive oil?5-10 drops Oil based food coloringInstructionsIt looks cool if you make 4 colors. Use your kitchen measuring cups and don’t guesstimate or else your cloud dough recipe will be too wet. Add the oil and food coloring to the plastic bag, premix as best you can.Add the flour to the plastic bag. Knead and shake around until mixed as much as possible. Before you play, you will have to get your hands into the mix to pinch and squeeze until the flour is fully mixed into the remaining oil and coloring. At this point, it should be mixed well enough that your hands will not stain.Empty out into a sensory tub for playing. You could also use a large cake pan.If you do this activity indoors a large bed sheet or shower curtain is recommended for under the sensory tub to catch little messes.434340051435000This is an example of what oil based food coloring is:Disclaimer: This is FUN and MESSY, repeat MESSY! But totally worth it (in my opinion! ................
