Mandalay Bay Redefining Resort with

Property-Wide Transformation

Collaboration with Leading Brands Brings Dynamic New Offerings to

Strip’s Most Dynamic Destination Resort

LAS VEGAS – Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, the destination that first brought a comprehensive resort experience to the Las Vegas Strip, is partnering with the leading brands in hospitality to redefine the resort experience with a property-wide transformation.

The 120-acre resort, home to one of North America’s most successful convention centers, a dynamic events center, a white sand beach, world-class restaurants and more than 4,000 guest rooms and suites is collaborating with brands such as The Light Group, Cirque du Soleil and Morgans Hotel Group to refocus the spotlight on the property where guests shed the tourist mantel and envelop themselves in the “Resortist” experience.

“Mandalay Bay prides itself on providing guests with a wide range of best-in-class resort experiences under one roof,” said Chuck Bowling, the resort’s president & COO. “With the addition of an A-list production show, innovative nightlife, iconic hotel brands and distinct restaurant concepts, we’re giving loyal guests new reasons to visit, and new guests reasons to experience Mandalay Bay for the first time.”

Mandalay Bay’s transformation began in early 2013 with a guest room renovation of the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, the openings of Citizens Kitchen & Bar, LIGHT Nightclub and DAYLIGHT Beach Club. In June 2013, Cirque du Soleil unveiled Michael Jackson ONE, a spectacular immersive show centered around the King of Pop. Additionally, the resort debuted two new dining concepts last summer, KUMI Japanese Restaurant and Bar Akira Back and Rick Moonen’s rx Boiler Room. In April 2014, the Prohibition Era of live jazz, bootleg liquor and seductive cabaret came to life with a modern twist inside 1923 Bourbon & Burlesque by Holly Madison. Delano Las Vegas, an all-suite hotel at Mandalay Bay, will come to life in place of THEhotel in September 2014.

Highlights of the transformation include:

Delano Las Vegas

Fusing the chic style of the iconic South Beach brand with the vibrant energy of the Las Vegas Strip, Delano Las Vegas will welcome its first guests in September 2014. Anchored by intimate yet energetic public spaces, the non-smoking, all-suite hotel will provide a blend of personalized service and effortless luxury coupled with high-concept design. Delivering an atmosphere that is playful and filled with energy, Delano Las Vegas will boast 1,100 luxurious suites, a sleek new arrival experience and lobby featuring three distinct social spaces – a unique coffee bar, sophisticated lounge and café concept.

Expansion of Convention Center

Mandalay Bay will expand its award-winning Convention Center with the addition of more than 350,000 square feet of exhibit space to the 1.7 million square feet of existing space. In response to customer demand, the resort will add new exhibit space, underground parking and increase overall square footage, creating the most flexible and customer-focused convention facility in North America. Upon completion, the Mandalay Bay Convention Center will boast more than 2 million total square feet and 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space. Construction is scheduled to begin late fall 2014 with new exhibit space available in August 2015 and completion of all spaces January 2016.

1923 Bourbon & Burlesque by Holly Madison

The Prohibition Era of live jazz, bootleg liquor and seductive cabaret come to life with a modern twist inside 1923 Bourbon & Burlesque by Holly Madison. The new social lounge transports guests to an exclusive speakeasy featuring a sensual burlesque revue, along with 1923’s custom barrel-aged whiskey and premium cigars. Seductively hidden off the casino floor, adjacent to The Shoppes escalators, 1923 provides the atmosphere for classic burlesque performed by Las Vegas’ most alluring dancers. Bourbon Burlesque, created by Holly Madison, captures the decadence and spontaneity of the Jazz Age as gorgeous women entertain the audience with song, dance and dynamic striptease vignettes throughout the evening. Debuted April 2014.

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, located on floors 35-39 of Mandalay Bay, recently renovated all 424 guest rooms and suites. This innovative design project was inspired in part by the vibrant Art Deco period, resulting in chic interiors that are simultaneously stylish, modern and reflective of the glamour and energy for which Las Vegas is known. Creating an energetic social hub that evolves from espressos in the morning to draft beers and wine at night, Press is a new indoor/outdoor lobby bar at Four Seasons. Rooms completed January 2013; Press lobby bar opened May 2013.

Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil, in partnership with The Estate of Michael Jackson, presents a resident theatrical production dedicated to the King of Pop. Michael Jackson ONE brings to life Michael’s music while celebrating his career and legacy. Opened June 29, 2013.

The venue is home to global electronic music DJ sensations Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Alesso and rising star Baauer. Opened May 2013.

With 50,000 square feet of flexible outdoor space, DAYLIGHT allows the party to easily transition from day to night, always with Mandalay Bay as the backdrop. Opened May 2013.

Rx Boiler Room

Rx Boiler Room is award-winning chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Rick Moonen’s steampunk-inspired restaurant and lounge located on the second level of rm Seafood inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay. The restaurant’s décor is reminiscent of industrialism during the 19th century Victorian era featuring warm colors, opulent leather seating, chalkboard walls and a hammered metallic ceiling. The menu combines the alchemy of food and drink by showcasing Moonen’s spin on classic comfort food served in small and large plate portions and hand-crafted cocktails. Opened June 2013.

KUMI

The Light Group continues to redefine the Las Vegas food and beverage scene with KUMI Japanese Restaurant and Bar by Akira Back. Kumi features Chef Back's world-famous cuisine through a modern Japanese menu with a Korean American twist. Opened August 2013.
