Classroom Assistant- assistants will serve in the classroom with the lead teacher and help in any way possible: crowd control, passing out papers, listening to student reports, etc. If you are interested in eventually serving as a lead teacher, we suggest that you serve as a classroom assistant to start forming meaningful relationships with the students. 2. Set-Up Crew- arrives twenty minutes early to help set up for the day.3. Clean-Up Crew- stays after class to help return the facilities to the way they were before we arrived. 4. Recess Monitor- actively watch the children during recess/free play time. 5. Social Organizer- plan social events outside of the classroom- field trips, parties, outreach events, mom’s nights, park days, etc. 6. Other: _____________________________________________________________________________CCH Spring 2020 Application – Page 1Class Offerings for 2020 Spring SemesterA variety of classes will be offered at CCH for the Spring 2020 semester. These classes have been requested by the students of the previous semester and will be modified to accommodate for various ages and learning styles of the students. All students will participate in Chapel, Art, and Economic classes. In addition, students will choose between a writing or p.e. class and a sewing or craft class.Chapel: This class will take place during the opening of each co-op day. It will include singing worship music, a brief lesson based on a biblical principles found in the Bible, a memory verse, and prayer. Students will need a personal bible for this class. Art: This class is for all students. They will be doing art projects from around the world and learning a little about different countries and cultures. Economics: This class is for all students. This class will be divided into two categories. The first 6 weeks the students will learn about basic macro-economic ideas (money, inflation, recession, laws of supply & demand, etc.) The remaining weeks the students will learn basic micro-economic ideas (personal budgets, banking, shopping, etc.) These ideas will be presented in a hands-on way appropriate for various ages. Writing: This class is for older students. They will work together to write and send out a weekly newsletter to all co-op families.P.E.: Students will participate in various physical activities outdoors or, in the event of inclement weather, indoors. These activities will require all students to dress in clothes that are easy to run and move in. Water bottles and closed-toe shoes are required.STEM/Crafts: This class will involve some basic STEM challenges and/or free time to use materials provided to create craft projects. This is a co-op. All are expected to work cooperatively to get the job done! Parents are expected to stay on site and help meet the needs of the co-op. This is not a drop off program.Remind your child to include others. We want to encourage friendships and discourage leaving others out.Profanity is not to be used, nor are words that name call or put others down like stupid, fatso, dummy, I hate you, shut up, etc. We want to build one another up! Everyone is expected to keep their hands to themselves. Hitting, kicking, and rough housing will not be allowed. Students are expected to bring their own lunch. Please notify teachers if you will be absent.For safety reasons, no tree climbing.Please respect the privacy of others by only posting pictures of your children to social media websites. Even if other children are “just in the background,” please refrain from posting.Respect other people and their property. In order to create an environment where student socialization is encouraged, all electronic devices including personal cell phones, tablet, or laptops are ONLY to be used for academic purposes during specified class times.Obey God, your parents, and the authorities placed over you. Dress modestly. Remember, working with children often times requires squatting down and bending over. Failure to follow these co–op rules and/or classroom rules may result in removal from the activity. A person may be put on probation for frequent/severe disobedience. If a person chooses disobedience after being put on probation, membership privileges may be revoked.
