AMTA 2020 Workshop ProposalWorkshops at AMTA conferences are intended to provide the opportunity for communities of interest to spend focused time together advancing the state of thinking or the state of practice in their area of interest or endeavor. Workshops may take several forms, including a specialized mini-conference, a set of exercises, or a roundtable meeting of experts and stakeholders.We welcome any proposal related to MT research, development, deployment, use, and evaluation. Workshop Policy and InformationRegistration: Registration at workshops is administered by AMTA. Workshop organizers are not compensated and are expected to pay their own main conference registration fee, which includes attendance at all workshops and tutorials. However, one free conference registration may be granted for an invited speaker by the Conference General Chair. Attendance: Workshop organizers are responsible for publicizing their workshop to ensure sufficient participation. Attendance at all workshops is unrestricted and it is included in the main conference registration fee.Proceedings: Workshop management software (e.g., START) may be available to workshop organizers to assist with the submission and reviewing process. Workshop organizers are encouraged to publish proceedings if applicable. AMTA will arrange inclusion of the workshops proceedings in the overall the conference proceedings if they are provided to AMTA by the deadline below.Timing and Location: Workshops will be held virtually through an enterprise collaboration and video conferencing platform on Tuesday, 6 October 2020, or Saturday, 10 October 2020. Due to the virtual nature of the conference, there is some flexibility in when the workshop will be held. The organizing committee will work with the workshop chair to schedule a timeslot that will maximize attendance and be as convenient as possible for the presenters.Workshop Leader AgreementIf my workshop is accepted for AMTA 2020, I agree to work with the Workshops Chair and Conference Committee in accordance with the above policy. I commit to oversee the organization of the workshop and be present during the entire duration of the workshop. I assert that I have access to a web camera and have sufficient Internet bandwidth to ensure reliable transmission of video and audio feeds. The workshop ___will/ ___will not have proceedings to distribute to participants. If the workshop will have proceedings: I commit to compiling them into a single digital file and sending them to the Workshops Chair no later than 15 September 2020.I agree to allow AMTA to make the workshop proceedings available in electronic form during and after the conference.
