Dr. Victoria Nesnick has been turning subject matter experts, particularly at the higher education level, into very effective educators. She helps faculty and administrators, individually and in groups, tackle the day-to-day concerns and problems associated with the teaching-learning process. Her academic products and services enable people with whom she works to meet their classroom challenges.

Victoria earned an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Hofstra University, M.S. in Education from Queens College, B.S. in Education from SUNY New Paltz, also Teacher and School District Administrator Certification from NYS. She served as Associate Dean of Instruction at the Institute of Audio Research in NYC, and Deputy Chair and Student Teacher Supervisor at Five Towns College. She has taught 24 different teacher education courses, both at the graduate and undergraduate level, face-to-face and online at four institutions of higher education: Hofstra University, Kaplan University, Alfred University, and Five Towns College. Prior to that, she had a distinguished career as a teacher with the Bethpage School District on Long Island and took an early retirement to establish The Kids Hall of Fame. She has served on numerous advisory boards and is currently a member of Briarcliffe College’s Liberal Arts and Sciences Advisory Board.

Victoria authored 103 publications: best practice cards, articles, columns, textbook chapters, books, and manuals. She originated and edited two newsletters, one magazine, and three websites. She has conducted presentations at 54 institutions and organizations, and on national and local television and radio. She has visited 20 countries on 5 continents.

Victoria is the recipient of 20 honors/awards including the: Lifetime Achievement Award by National Parent-Teacher Association, Woman of the Year by Long Island University Criminal Justice Department and Nassau County Coalition for Abused Women, Golden Apple Award by March of Dimes, Women’s Initiative Award by Suffolk County Women’s Business Enterprise Coalition, and Citation for Integrity, Professionalism and Commitment to Youth Education and Social Responsibility by Nassau County Legislature.
