Unit Topic: Alcohol in Society

Overall aim of unit:

To develop an understanding of alcohol in society. Students will gain knowledge of particular drugs, their classifications and their effect on individuals and the community.

Year 7

Note: Must have access to a copy of the books in the reference section

Objectives for Students

By the end of the session students will:

• Names of different types of alcohol

• Understanding the different level of alcohol in different drinks

• What are the effects of alcohol young people who ingest it.

Throughout the session I will:

• Using clear and concise age appropriate language when giving directions and instructions

• Utilise student feedback appropriately to discuss life scenarios

• Keep all students in clear view when giving out group tasks.
