Have students select the school year they are taking the placement test for. They will then click on the Math and/or ELA test link to the correct test.See below for next steps after students complete the assessmentsGrade 6 StudentELAStep 1: Student takes Out-of-District KSD Grade 6 Middle School ELA Placement Test. · If multiple choice score average is less than 65% , student is placed in 6th grade Language Arts. Analyze results using the rubric spreadsheet. If the score is above 85%, the student should be placed in GATE ELA.Step 2: If rubric score is between 65% and 85%, administer the writing portion of the assessment. The student’s writing portion should be scored using the writing rubric. · After scoring, the writing portion is greater than 2.5, the student is placed in GATE 6th grade Language Arts.
