2013 MILITARY FAMILY ASSISTANCE PROJECT

United Way of Long Island’s Military Family Assistance Project supports programs that serve Long Island military, reservist and National Guard personnel active in Operation Enduring Freedom and/or Operation Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn and their families. Funded programs are in the critical need areas of

• Case management/service coordination to assist military personnel and military families secure eligible services,

• Emergency financial assistance for military personnel and their families, and

• Employment and job training for returning military personnel.

United Way, together with its Military Family Assistance Project partners, advances the common good by investing in and operating programs that address the critical needs of Long Island’s active military families.
