Statement of Purpose. The purpose of this rule is to establish comprehensive background check licensing standards for Child Care Providers. This rule is promulgated pursuant to 22 M.R.S. §§ 8301-A(8), 8302-A(1)(J),(2)(K), and 8302-C and describes the requirements of a comprehensive background check and the process for appealing specific disqualifying conditions. ................
