Health Science Program Technology Policy and ProcedurePracticum in Health Science: Pre VetAcceptable Use Policy:The Health Science Program adheres to the Denton ISD Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) whether in the classroom setting or clinical observation setting.Noncompliance with the AUP policy will result in disciplinary actions.Use of Cell Phone/Technology Device: In the classroom setting, the cell phone/technology device can only be used at the discretion of the instructor.In the clinical setting, the cell phone/ technology device is not allowed at the clinical site. Use of the cell phone/technology device is a violation of both Denton ISD and Health Science Program Policy and will result in disciplinary actions.If a parent/guardian needs to contact a student, they may call the Advanced Technology Complex at 940-369-4850. The school will then contact the instructor.Permission for Exchange of Personal Cell Phone Number:The exchange of phone numbers between instructor and student is for school related purposes only.Hospital Rotation/Clinical Observations is an extension of the learning experience outside of the classroom setting and there may be times the student needs to notify their instructor and/or clinical site of an emergency situation, an absence, arriving late, or attendance during the class period will be at the ATC campus or home campus instead of the clinical site.If you prefer your child to not exchange cell phone numbers with their instructor:Notify the instructor in writing.Realize your child will need to take extra responsibilities to get any messages/notifications to their instructor and/or clinical site.Denton ISD does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, or disability in providing education or providing access to benefits of education services, activities and program, including vocation programs, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended: Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended; and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
