DR. PETER JONES, SCHOLAR AND EXPERT ON PAGAN CULTURES, DISCUSSES AMERICA'S RECENT TRANSITION TO PAGAN WORLDVIEWS, AND THE IMPACT ON THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY'S SURVIVAL AND MISSION, ON THE 2 – 6 FEBRUARY 09 “FUTURE QUAKE” RADIO PROGRAMS
Nashville, TN – Dr. Peter Jones, Director of the organization TruthXChange (formerly known as “Christian Witness To a Pagan Planet”), professor and scholar on pagan cultures, discusses the evolving preeminence of pagan values and beliefs in formerly “traditional” America, and the impact it will have on the survival and mission of the Christian community, with host “Doctor Future” and co-host Tom Bionic, airing daily during the week of 2 February on the “Future Quake” program, broadcast on the Christian talk radio station WENO, 760 AM in Nashville, TN (and archived at ). Dr. Jones, a native of Liverpool, England (and school chum with John Lennon!), possesses a distinguished pedigree, with Master's and Ph.D degrees in theology from the Harvard Divinity School and Princeton Theological Seminary, respectively, and subsequently taught New Testament at a theological school in France, while simultaneously starting a Christian school and church, over the next eighteen years. Upon return to the United States to teach at Westminster Seminary, he was shocked to find a transformed American culture, which had embraced paganism in its various facets while he was gone. This disturbing observation led him to publish a number of books, such as “The Gnostic Empire Strikes Back”, “Spirit Wars”, “Stolen Identity: The Conspiracy to Reinvent Jesus”, and “Transforming The Pagan Mind” (the latter of which is discussed in this interview). Dr. Jones, an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America, was eventually led away from his seminary faculty work to focus on the rise of paganism and its threat to the church, resulting in the formation of the ministry Witness To a Pagan Planet (now known as TruthXChange). This interview begins with a discussion of the details of the Obama inauguration, and its significance as a milestone in the pagan transformation of America, and how it is beginning to strongly resemble ancient Rome, and its pagan influence not only over religion, but also state affairs, loss of freedoms, changing gender roles, and the structure of the family itself, as is discussed in his books. The dangers of the mingling of the State and religion, the seduction of the “Goddess” cosmology that eliminates concepts of guilt, sin and subservience to an external Creator, and reasons why Judeo-Christianity (as a monotheistic belief system) could not be integrated into such ancient (and now modern) pagan/New Age belief structures, are also discussed. Show favorite Robert Heid also visits for a show segment, to provide his insight and commentary on the Obama inauguration event, with some unique perspectives.
