Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, Robbins & Myers was a global, publicly-held manufacturing company with a workforce of more than 3,000 and annual sales of $1 billion in 2012. R&M was acquired by National Oilwell Varco in February 2013, leading to the closure of the R&M Corporate Office in March, 2014.

◆ Reporting directly to the Corporate VP, Human Resources, responsible for the execution of US-wide benefit programs designed with business objectives, employees and their families in mind while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws:

— Managed and provided high level administration for all corporate US health and welfare and retirement benefit plans for over 1800 union and non-union active employees and 400+ retirees. Including multiple fully insured and self-funded medical, dental and vision plans, life, disability, FSA, COBRA, 401(k) and 5 defined benefit plans.

— Managed benefits administration system, UltiPro, including Life Events, Open Enrollment, report writing and 8 automated eligibility interfaces serving all US union and non-union employees.

— Working with our benefits broker, designed, implemented and administeres changes to benefits plans/programs and carriers to save R&M over $7 Million since 2010.

— Coordinated and prepared legal filings, compliance testing and pension and OPEB valuations.

◆ Provided support for major corporate-wide change initiatives:

— Successfully transitioned and integrated benefits and enrollment processes for approximately 650 employees from a $200 million acquisition into the R&M organization.

— Participated in creation and staffing of the R&M HR Service Center, resulting in first shared services center for U.S. payroll, benefits, and pension administration.

— In 2004, managed the restructuring of 6 smaller, localized health plans to 1 consolidated, self-funded plan saving the company over $1M in the first year.

◆ Managed all aspects of HRIS including implementation, set up and maintenance of payroll, HR and benefit administration systems.

— Implemented new, online benefits administration system and transitioned all enrollment activities for employees and benefits administration staff from paper to online.

— Directed the creation of automated eligibility interfaces between our systems and our health plan carriers.

— Lead report writer for Reportsmith, ADP Report Writing and UltiPro Business Intelligence.

DT Industries, Inc. May 2001-July 2004

HR Generalist

DT Industries relocated the corporate headquarters to Dayton, OH in May, 2004. I assumed the consolidated HR and Benefits responsibilities of 3 other administrators thereby developing shared services to US subsidiaries for HR and benefits.

— Project team leader in the restructuring and development of a consolidated, employee health benefit plan, resulting in $500,000 annual savings for the organization.

— Administered the newly restructured benefit plan including: coordinating annual enrollments; authoring and distributing benefit communications; processing invoicing and preparing management reports.

— Provided training for divisional HR Administrators on benefit plans, applicable employment laws, eligibility requirements and coverage; identified training needs and provided training for new and existing users of the company’s HRIS.

— Team Leader and Security Officer in implementation of a national HRIS to establish a consolidated benefits plan and payroll system including: identifying and resolving database application issues; developing custom reports, ensuring database integrity and supplying benefit vendors with eligibility data.

— Created policy and procedure manuals and assisted in the creation of standardized employee handbooks.
