As far as we know, the notes below pertaining to Coronavirus still apply:

Please remember - notes concerning Coronavirus

The purpose of maintaining records and displaying an official NHS QR poster

By maintaining records of staff, customers and visitors, and displaying an official NHS QR poster, you will help NHS Test and Trace to identify and notify people who may have been exposed to the virus.

You must register for an official NHS QR code and display the official NHS QR poster.

The NHS COVID-19 app has a feature that allows users to quickly and easily ‘check in’ to your venue by scanning the code. The information stays on the user’s phone. In England, you do not have to ask people who choose to ‘check in’ using the official NHS QR code to provide their contact details. If there is an outbreak associated with a venue, a message will be sent to the relevant app users with the necessary public health advice.

This will help to avoid the reintroduction of lockdown measures and support the country to return to, and maintain, a more normal way of life.

In addition to maintaining and sharing records where requested and displaying an official NHS QR poster, you must also continue to follow other government guidance to minimise the transmission of COVID-19. This includes maintaining a safe working environment and following social distancing guidelines.

The relevant settings this applies to are:

• clubs providing team sporting activities

• facilities for use by elite and professional sportspeople (including sports stadia)

• indoor sport and leisure centres

• cafes, including workplace canteens

• bars, including bars in hotels or members’ clubs

Please note this updated guidance comes into effect from the 24th September and failure to comply will result in Government issued fines.

Full information on test and trace can be found here:

Clubs who currently use QR codes must read this important information here, you are required to use the NHS QR Code.

Can clubs also please ensure that a manual track and trace form is available to complete for those whose phone does not allow use of the new Q Codes.

The League is unable to agree to postpone any fixture on unsubstantiated claims relating to player availability. Clubs failing to fulfil fixtures for any reason will be charged. The League Management Committee will carefully consider all charges of "Unfulfilled Fixture" specifically to determine if the reasons for it are valid and the evidence justifies a club’s decision not to fulfil a fixture. Evidence justifying a player’s Covid unavailability would include NHS communications with those affected either in terms of test results or self-isolation instructions.

The Management Committee will compare the total number of players justifiably unavailable for all reasons, including Covid, against the total number of players registered to play for a club in this competition, to determine that the club’s actions are, or not, justifiable.

News/Reminders from the League Office

A reminder that all Saturday League games will normally be 1400 kick-off at this time of year.

Please contact hampshirelgesecretary@ for further details

Team Sheets/Full Time

There is no longer a requirement to send your team sheets to the league secretary, and clubs will be expected to update Full Time themselves in the correct time scales.

Saturday games – by Tuesday evening

Tuesday games – by Friday evening

Wednesday games – by Saturday evening

Reporting of Results

Some clubs are still not sending details of their result and scorers to Derek Hawkins by 5:30pm on Saturdays and 10pm for Midweek matches. Charges will be following for clubs who are persistently late in sending in their details.

Whilst we appreciate there may be occasions for a delay, “simply forgetting~ is not acceptable.

Marking of Technical Areas

League officers have attended several matches in recent weeks, where the technical area for the management teams has not been marked out. This is now part of the pitch markings and does need to be carried out.

Changes to Your Risk Assessments

Please ensure that if there are any changes to your clubs Covid Risk Assessment a copy of the updated version is sent to the league’s COVID officer Ant Cross and agreed.
