It is often said that science is absolutely necessary for our modern life. Of course, most of our modern comforts in our homes or in society are the result of the use of science. Great scientists used scientific principles for the benefit of mankind and made possible the advent of our scientific age. Our problem in this century is how to check the use of science for destructive purposes. We are very much horrified to see all kinds of destructive weapons and bombs in possession of different countries. Scientists on the dictation of their rulers have actually prepared these weapons and bombs. The number of these weapons is increasing day by day. Now we are faced with the danger of total destruction if these dangerous arms and bombs like the atom or hydrogen bomb are used by the big powers or by the most powerful countries against each other. No country can escape the highly destructive effects of a nuclear war.
