Responsibilities for environmental consultant

Undertaking of environmental audits and monitoring in line with the relevant environmental auditing and monitoring procedures and protocols Training staff on environmental compliance Preparation of environmental audit and monitoring reports Ensuring that the quality of deliverables is to the consistently high standards demanded by the Project Applying industry best practice in all aspects of work Understanding Quality, HSE and Company Systems and ensuring that they are applied in all lines of work Effectively communicate with contractors and other organisations within Project team on issues of environmental compliance Provide tool-box talks and training to contractor's staff Co-ordination with the environmental regulator where required Attends regular and ad-hoc Project meetings

Qualifications for environmental consultant

4 to 6 years of related experience in consulting, corporate, or industrial environment Chartered (or actively working towards chartership) with either GeolSoc, ICE or CIWEM Good working knowledge and demonstrable understanding of the relevant codes of practice, industry standards and best practice for contaminated land

Prepare technical project documents (e.g., Resource Reports, Environmental Impact Statements/Environmental Assessments, Biological Assessments, management and mitigation plans, ), including research, writing, word processing, building tables and spreadsheets, tabulating, and manipulating data Professional registration as P.Eng., P.Geo., or P.Ag Good knowledge and understanding of environmental and sustainability issues related to the infrastructure sector
