Four-Hour Session: 2 Hour Review--2 Hour EPA Exam

The 2 hour review session will cover Core and Type II material only. The EPA Type II certification continues to be the most popular type of certification for residential and light commercial air conditioning installers and service technicians. Participants desiring more than Type II certification are encouraged to prepare on their own using the available preparatory manual.

The EPA Section 608 exam has 100 questions, 25 in each of four sections; Core, Type I, Type II, and Type III. To achieve any type of certification, a technician must successfully pass the Core section plus a Type section. A technician that has passed all four sections of the exam will hold a Universal certification which covers all three types of equipment. The EPA exam is closed-book with no notes, smart phone or other type of electronic device allowed other than a calculator. The test proctor will provide scratch paper, #2 pencils and PT charts for use during the exam. Cost of the review session is $50 and the cost to take the exam is an additional $50. Combined cost is $100. Exam only if desired. Photo ID required.
