When you finish reading a graded-reader, visit reading to find the Graded-reader review form. You must write FOUR reviews by the end of the term. Each review is 5% towards your grade, with 1% taken off for each day late. It is fine to hand in your reviews before the due date. Review 1 by 7 MayReview 2 by 21 MayReview 3 by 8 JuneReview 4 by 22 June*Vocabulary (10%)There will be two vocabulary tests, one on the first lesson, and one on the last. You will be assessed on your ability to build your vocabulary.Speed-writing (10%)You will be given time in class to practice quickwriting. This is designed for you to improve your writing speed. Simply completing this task will give you 10%. Essay One (15%) first draft due by 7 May, essay due by 14 MayYou must type on the computer a 300 to 500-word essay on the following topic:All first-year university students must live in the dormitory.Essay Two (15%) first draft due by 21 May, final essay due by 28 MayChoose ONE of the topics from below to write a 300 to 500-word essay on:University students must not use their smartphone during class. University students must not work part-time.University students must not drive a car.Essay Three (30%*) on 11 JuneYou will be given a choice of three topics. Choose ONE topic and write a 300 to 500-word essay under the time limit (80 minutes). The topics will be given on the day of the exam. ................
