EU issued a poster showing the tower of Babel. The poster carried the slogan “Many tongues, one voice.” Britain issued a stamp to commemorating the first EU parliament election in 1979 depicting a woman riding on the back of a beast. It is now the official picture of the EU, and is painted on the dome of the parliament building in Brussels. ................
