Air Cargo Study Update (55 min)...................................................................................................................10:05 In 2017 the Legislature directed the JTC to conduct a study of air cargo movement in Washington state, to evaluate system capacity, identify market forces contributing to cargo movement, and evaluate how to effectively use existing capacity throughout the state. The study will be completed by December, 2018.

In this work session the consultants will give an update on the progress of the study and share some of their initial findings.

3. SeaTac International Airport Master Plan (30 min)....................................................................................11:00 This presentation will provide an update on growth at Sea-Tac Airport and development of the Sustainable Airport Master Plan - the blueprint for changes at the airport to meet future regional demand. The Master Plan's near-term projects seek to accommodate demand through 2027, and entered the environmental review phase in June 2018.

4. Commercial Drivers' Licenses Medical Certifications Study Update (30 min)........................................11:30 The Legislature directed the JTC to assess and recommend methods for setting state medical standards for certain types of commercial driver's licenses (CDLs) to potentially help increase the number of CDL holders in the state. The study is to include a review of practices and regulations in other states. In this update JTC staff will present findings from research of other states.

The Department of Licensing will give an update on Washington's approach including a new public information campaign to help residents understand their options and new markings on standard licenses and IDs.
