ADVANCED CERTIFICATE COURSE IN ENGLISH (EXTENSION) ? 2018

Applications are invited for the above course from those employed in the public and the private sectors and others interested in learning English. Applicants should have passed G.C.E. (O/L) with Mathematics, Sinhala/ Tamil language and at least a simple pass in English language or an equivalent qualification acceptable. Applicants without a simple pass for English language at the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination or an equivalent qualification acceptable are required to pass a Selection Test conducted by the University. All candidates will be selected after a Selection / Placement Test and an interview. Candidates who successfully complete the Advanced Certificate Course in English (Extension) are eligible to follow the Diploma in English (Extension) Course without facing the Selection Test.

Duration: One Year (Saturdays / Sundays)

Course

This course includes lessons and activities to improve Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing Skills. The course

includes a Literature component as well.

Application forms and further information could be obtained from the Assistant Registrar, Centre for Distance & Continuing Education, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Mihintale by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope ("9 x 4") along with the bank slip after depositing Rs. 200.00 credited to Account No. 5022233 of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Bank of Ceylon, Mihintale Branch (Payment could be made at any branch of Bank of Ceylon) or by calling over personally with the bank slip. Application forms and further information could also be downloaded from rjt.ac.lk and when the application is sent to the university, the bank slip obtained as per the instructions in this advertisement should be sent.
