PURPOSE: To provide efficient and effective cleaning of All Saints' Church Centre ensuring the general appearance of the building is maintained in accordance with the required standards. The Centre comprises a foyer, large all-purpose hall, two youth rooms, a kitchen, three separate toilets and a foyer.

The Church Centre is a well-used building and some flexibility will be required in relation to the timing of cleaning depending on the use of the rooms during the week.

ORGANISATION: The employee will work under the supervision of the Church Administrator or other line manager in partnership with the Church Wardens, Church Administrator and Caretaker, and with the support and guidance of the Staff Management Team as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? To undertake the following duties as directed by the Church Administrator and Churchwardens and in accordance with the work schedule provided but with flexibility depending on the use of rooms throughout the day. A Rotowash machine is provided and it is expected that this will be used to clean all rooms once appropriate training has been given ? Sweeping the centre hall and then cleaning it with the Rotowash ? Dusting, damp washing or polishing ledges, window sills, skirting boards and external surfaces of cupboards, shelves radiators and fitments ? Replenishing consumable items such as soap, toilet rolls paper towels as required ? Emptying waste bins and transporting waste to the outside bins ? Using chemical agents as directed by the Church Administrator in the discharge of cleaning operation or maintenance procedures after receiving proper instruction and training including COSH regulations ? Cleaning the toilets and sinks ? Cleaning internal windows including use of three step ladder as required ? Keep a check on cleaning stock levels and inform the Administrator of low levels of stock

REQUIRED PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: ? Trustworthy as this role is a keyholder ? Ability to handle cleaning equipment ? Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours ? Thorough and tidy approach

? Good communication and organisational skills ? Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct

supervision

JOB DETAILS: ? 6 Hours a week over three days. ? Real living wage currently ?9.30 per hour. ? Statutory holidays plus four weeks holiday per year.
