The Body Shop was created in 1976 by Dame Anita Roddick, based on her

revolutionary belief that business could be a force for good. Since then, we've always

done things differently, broken the mould, been bold, been brave.

In 1994, Anita wanted to create a fun and flexible earning opportunity for women and

The Body Shop At HomeTM began. Today, by empowering our Consultants with the opportunity to be their own boss and run their own business with the backing and support of a globally recognised brand,

anything is possible.

In 1987, we pioneered fair trade in beauty with the launch of our Community Trade programme. We began sourcing some of the finest raw ingredients and hand-crafted accessories from expert producers around the world. Today we have 31 Community Trade suppliers in 23 countries around the world, benefiting thousands of people.

world to secure long-term positive change.

For over 25 years, The Body Shop At HomeTM has been supporting Children on the Edge; a charity sparked into life by Dame Anita Roddick in 1990. Today Children on the Edge exists to help marginalised and forgotten children around the world, who are living on the edges of society.

Since 1989 we have campaigned to ban animal testing in cosmetics with later wins in the European Union (2009).

We're now taking our petition with 8 million signatures to the United Nations. It's time to wipe out animal testing in cosmetics for good.

In 2016, we launched The World Bio Bridges Mission ? bio-bridges are restored wildlife corridors within damaged landscapes that help endangered species reconnect, enabling them and local comunities to live more sustainably. The Body Shop aims to build 10 new Bio-Bridges across the globe by 2020 and rengenerate 75 million square metres of habitat.

I joined The Body Shop At HomeTM just three weeks after having my son resulting in me having 2 under 1 year olds! I joined to have something to do for myself but I never imagined this could become a full time career. I'm loving every single second. I joined The Body Shop At HomeTM when I returned to work after maternity leave as a top up to my part time job, to get out of the house and be me again for a few hours a week.
