Please note that stipends are paid a month in arrears. For example, while the 2020-21 fellowship period begins on October 1st, your first stipend installment would be paid to you on November 1st. The current estimated Tuition & Fee amount for 2020-21 is $19,500.00. Because student Tuition & Fees are subject to gubernatorial, legislative and Regental action, adjustments will be made to your award for actual 2020-21 Tuition & Fee amounts. Your billing statement will automatically reflect a credit for full Graduate Student Tuition & Fees. Also included in your 2020-21 Tuition & Fee fellowship is the charge for mandatory health insurance – UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP). A waiver of this requirement may be granted to those students who provide proof of comparable coverage. Students must apply for a UC SHIP waiver by the deadline. More information about UC SHIP is available at . If you opt out of UC SHIP, it is your responsibility to notify Graduate Studies as soon as possible so we can adjust your Tuition & Fee fellowship. The amount of your Tuition & Fee fellowship cannot exceed the amount you are charged. If a refund is made to you in error, the over-award must be repaid.Please note that fellowships do not disburse until you enroll in classes. Continued eligibility for this fellowship depends on your maintaining satisfactory academic progress and maintaining a minimum GPA. It is important that you consult with the staff member listed at the end of this award letter as soon as possible if you are offered any other funding or employment at UC Davis as it could affect this award.
