JOHNSTON COUNTY ED FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS: The Johnston County Schools Ed Foundation application is now available in Student Services. See Mrs. Faulk for more information. Deadline is April 12, 2019.

2019 NCACTE GUIDANCE & CAREER DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP: There will be seven $1,000 scholarships awarded to seniors who have taken Career and Technical Education courses and achieved the status of a CTE completer. For an application, visit Deadline is April 15, 2019.

THE NC CAROLINA SOCIETY OF ACCOUNTANTS SCHOLARSHIP: This non-profit organization established in 1970 provides scholarships for deserving students who indicate a desire to enter the profession of Accounting. The scholarship amount is $750. For an application, please see Mrs. Faulk in Student Services. Deadline is April 15, 2019.

CHARLES R. ULLMAN & ASSOCIATES SCHOLARSHIP: Charles Ullman & Associates announce a 2019 scholarship for NC Students. For an application, visit scholarship-essay-contest. Deadline is April 15, 2019.

SEANC SCHOLARSHIP: The scholarship foundation will award 49 annual scholarships for SEANC members in good standing, their spouses and/or dependent child(ren) are eligible to receive scholarships. ST. PATRICK’S MASONIC LODGE SCHOLARSHIP: St. Patrick’s Lodge #617 in Princeton awards a yearly $500 scholarship to one local high school student. It is open to all students with at least a 3.0 GPA and preference given to any / all applicants with familial connections to a Masonic lodge or organization. PRINCETON BULLDOG BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP: Applications are now available for this scholarship: Students MUST be a two sport athlete who has been accepted to attend a college / university in the fall of 2019. See Mrs. Faulk for an application. Deadline is April 18, 2019.

BOB R. MCGUIRE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This is a $1,000 child support scholarship given through the North Carolina Child Support Council. For an application, visit . Deadline is April 19, 2019.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF HOMELESS CHILDREN AND YOUTH: Scholarship applications are now open for students who have been classified at some point as homeless. For an application, visit . Deadline is April 30, 2019.

[pic] EGIA SCHOLARSHIP: The EGIA Foundation is offering HVACR scholarships. Up to 20 eligible students will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship to pursue an HVACR degree, certificate, and diploma at an accredited community college, technical/vocational school, or approved technical institute during the 2019-2020 school year. MAY DEADLINES

[pic] SOUTHLAND CAR CLUB: The Southland Car Club is offering two $1,000 scholarships to Princeton High School Seniors. Applicant must be a Johnston County High School graduating senior, be going to a 2-year or 4-year college, submit a letter of recommendation from school administrator, counselor or teacher, complete an application and have a “C” or above grade point average. NORTH STATE SCHOLARSHIP: Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded for students who meet the following criteria: A. a NC resident, B. a minimum 3.0 (unweighted) GPA, and C. majoring in some are of Criminal Justice or related field. Applications can be found at . Deadline is May 15, 2019.

ABBOTT & FENNER SCHOLARSHIP: Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to continue with their scholarship program by awarding up to $1,000 to winners each year. For an application, visit . Deadline is June 14, 2019.

HORATIO ALGER CAREER & TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP: This association will award up to 1020 scholarships in 2019 with a maximum award amount of $2,500 for students planning to pursue a degree or certificate program at a technical school. Eligibility: Have completed high school or plan to complete high school by spring 2019 with plans to enroll at a non-profit post-secondary institution by fall 2017; exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the US; demonstrate critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA); demonstrate perseverance in overcoming adversity; be involved in community service activities; be a US citizen; and under 30 years old. OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS & LOANS

M. DURWOOD STEPHENSON FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: This foundation is offering to provide financial assistance for students to continue educational opportunities beyond high school. Students must successfully graduate, have a 2.0 minimum GPA, have a 900 on the SAT or equivalent on ACT, remain single and not convicted of any misdemeanor or felony, and not be convicted of drug abuse violations including alcohol. NC FORGIVABLE EDUCATION LOANS FOR SERVICE:  There are merit-based programs which provide financial assistance to qualified students who are committed to working in NC in identified critical employment shortage professions.  They are as follows:

CHEATHAM-WHITE SCHOLARSHIP: This is a merit based scholarship at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Students must satisfy the following criteria to be eligible: Be a competitive applicant for admissions as a freshmen in the fall of 2018 into a baccalaureate program; be a US citizen or permanent resident; be on course to graduate from high school in the spring, prior to college, have a cumulative GPA of at least 4.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale and a minimum score of 1280 (new) or 1200 (old) on the SAT or 28 on the ACT; show exceptional qualities of character and leadership, be significantly involved in extracurricular activities and demonstrate a strong commitment to service. METHODIST SCHOLARSHIP: This $2,000 scholarship is awarded at NC Wesleyan College. Students must have a letter from the pastor of the Methodist Church.

MARINE CORP SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION: The marine Corp Scholarship Foundation is offering scholarships for children of Marines (and qualifying Navy Corpsmen) pursuing Career and Technical Education – whether that be career training, trade school, community college, or four-year university.
