This Scholarship has been established to assist KSU undergraduate students who have completed at least one year at this institution and who have demonstrated academic excellence. Applicants already receiving KSU academic scholarships (i.e. Presidential, Service County, Commonwealth, Black Achievers, etc.) are not eligible to apply. All students must complete the 2017-2018 FAFSA by (April 15th in order to receive priority consideration) or a Declaration and Certification Finances Form (if you are an international student) before final awards are made. Applicants will need to submit a one page essay explaining the reason(s) the application should be considered, and two (2) letters of recommendation. Recommendations may come from sources such as instructors, mentors and/or advisors. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 for consideration. All scholarships are awarded based on full-time enrollment and may not be used to settle prior balances. Awards are contingent upon funding and are not automatically renewable. If you receive additional external awards, this scholarship may be reduced to remain in compliance with federal and/or state packaging guidelines.
